Robert L. Elks - President
Robert L. Elks has been actively involved in local real estate industry since 1978. Before joining Select Community Services, in 1986 he formed a community management company that merged with a larger management company in late 1999. Prior to forming this company he was a project manager for a local real estate developer specializing in the conversion of apartment properties into the condominium form of ownership.
Prior to his employment in real estate development, Mr. Elks worked for a commercial bank as an Assistant Vice President in the real estate department. This position exposed him to the mortgage banking aspects of the real estate industry and to general commercial banking.
Mr. Elks received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University in 1970.
P. Gay Bridges - Vice President
Gay Bridges has worked with Robert Elks since November 1987. Since that time, she has been responsible for the training and supervision of assistant manager staff; supervised the accounts payable and accounts receivable staff and trained and supervised administrative assistants. Gay also standardized the production of Resale Certificates required by state law. She also developed and implemented many procedures to streamline administrative duties. She is SCS’ network administrator.
Prior to joining Robert Elks, Gay Bridges was employed as a Senior Loan Processor in the multi-family division of Federal Association Loan Mortgage Corporation, "Freddie Mac".
Before becoming involved in the secondary mortgage market, Gay Bridges worked for a local real estate broker. She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from George Mason University.
